been a while

It's a whirlwind. Perhaps a storm. Maybe a Formula 1 Race? Everything's just in auto-pilot mode and happening so fast...
In the midst of it all, I've experienced doubts, peace, anger, peace, unhappiness, peace, rush of emotions...
I saw a TV advertisement tonight and it's about the government push to promote family life and family time. It shows a grown man trying to feed his elderly mum and she refuses to eat. I think that juxtapose him as a child, unwilling to eat his meal.
Then the elderly woman gets admitted to hospital and then a flashback: she was carrying the man (as a child) with fever and trying to find a doctor in the hospital. The nurse gets her seated to wait for her turn and she starts to sing a familiar tune 'sky black black' or 'tee orh orh' to her child while stroking his forehead. Then the scene is back to the hospital, where the man is now stroking the forehead of his mother and humming to the same tune.
A pearl of tear rolls down the wrinkled cheekbone of the old woman.
This morning my mother helped me wait for the contractor from gaincity put it the aircon in my new place. It is a small inconvenience but I feel very grateful that she is helping me from her heart.
Looking at the advertisement somehow reminded me to be thankful for the many simple blessings that I have. People and things that I don't deserve but are given to me.
I thought of the possessions I own and the people I love beside me and I see how God has been in the midst of it all.
He heard the cries of my heart and He gently whispers to me that it is fine, everything's going to be all right. And He is always right. In the darkest of night, the stars shine ever so brightly. Though sometimes we are too preoccupied with other things to notice them, they are always there.
How Great Thout Art!
