Talk to Him
Yes, the 18 months has begun and I am looking forward to the things that I can learn from the training in Lonza, but I got this gut feeling that the most important lessons (and useful ones) will be learnt out of the office.
Call me sentimental or emotional, whatever you like, but I have this tweeny bit of me that is beginning to miss home, and friends and the familiarity. Adapting physically (read: food and weather) is much easier than, emotional and spiritually I guess. This feels different from the various mission trips that I was involved in, and I think it is the familiarity with the people in the group. I was listening to the radio and the DJ was talking about the top 10 things of what makes happy people. On the list were having free time, deep relationships and in general, older folks.
I really look forward to welcoming Mr.Teo, Mdm, Ruby and Rayson on U.S. soil, but will be more than a year from now. For now, I get extended period of drawing close to Him. I did not expect much changes from my time in Singapore, but it seems like this period of time has given me much more opportunities to talk to Him and to hear from Him.
Going for my breakfast soon and moving stuff to 1001 Islington.
