Dong Dong Dong Chiang!
Hello! Let me first record down why I have not been blogging here since May last year, while I still remember it...
I went to Central Asia for a mission trip from May 25th to June 23rd, and for that period I had limited access to the internet. After I came back, there was a flurry of events and thanksgiving to my supporters. Not long after, I went to KL and to Miri, Sarawak for a trek with my trekking friends. Wah Seh, it was a great experience there as well! Learnt to be kind to strangers, and bless others even when not warranted. Thanks Paul and Michelle, our angels from Ireland!
Before I knew it, the semester had begun and I set my heart on doing better in the semester as I always do, though I failed myself many times since my freshman year, it got a turn for the better last sem, with 2 long awaited A-, nonetheless, I feel very happy and contented. Of course for most of my class mates, this is chicken feet but it makes a world of difference in me, and thats fantastic (the new burger in macdonalds).
Asked by Ps.Kieran in my church to start a cell in NUS with Rachoo. In charge of LM in Engin Crusade for the year, and moving back home are all big steps in the past semester. Unable to remember the actual events in the semester but I'm sure the Lord used every opportunity to make me the person I am today.
If there's one lesson that I can use to sum up the time past months, it'd be “修身,齐家,治国,平天下” I'd suppose this phrase is from some confucian teaching? But so far, it resonates with what I believe in. The foundation is to get ourselves ready and proper, but if we were to say that, there must be a standard, otherwise we would not me able to measure up. So what is The Standard? I'd love to tell you more... if you ask.
That's about it for now, the big things I can remember, definitely there are many smaller episodes that I learnt a lot from but those are in my prayer journal, that also explains why the decline in my online postings...
1 more take home message that I leave here: Every weakness in our lives is a strength mis-used.
Keep the faith!
