Don't Quit!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want the smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit!

Sucess is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar.
So, stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things go wrong that you mustn't quit.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

Being clever is good, not too clever!

the story goes:

there was a brilliant man by the name of _______. he was highly praised by everyone in the academic world for his insightful contributions and many research breakthroughs. he was also a very kind hearted man who loved animals a lot.

back at home, he kept two cats, timmy the smaller one, and tammy who is double the size of timmy. they were livinvg happily together until the cats' scratching habit on the walls made him very frustrated, so he went off to investigate.

he realised that the cats wanted to go out and play but he had no trapdoor for the cats to leave and enter the house freely and so, after some serious considerations, he decided to drill two holes on the wall for the cats, a bigger one for tammy and a smaller one for timmy.

the cats' scratching stopped soon after. isn't he the most brilliant man?

Two Things Not to Worry About

In my life, I have found there are two things about which I should never worry. First, I shouldn't worry about the things I can't change. If I can't change them, worry is certainly most foolish and useless. Second, I shouldn't worry about the things I can change. If I can change them, then taking action will accomplish far more than wasting my energies in worry. Besides, it is my belief that, 9 times out of 10, worrying about something does more danger than the thing itself. Give worry its rightful place - out of your life.
